An experiment was conducted in the month of October-November 2006-2007 to study the effect of different dozes of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium on growth and yield of olive. Experiment was laid out in a randomized block design factorial with sixty four treatments consisting of four levels of nitrogen (N1=300g/tree, N2=400g/tree, N3=600g/tree and N4=750g/tree), phosphorus (P1=200g/tree, P2=300g/tree, P3=400g/tree and P4=500g/tree) and potassium (K1=200g/tree, K2=300g/tree, K3=400g/tree and K4=500g/tree). All the treatments replicated thrice and the treatment unit was a single tree. The highest mean rate of shoot development 7.33 x 10-3 cm day-1, mean rate of leaf appearance 1.267 x 10-1 day-1, NPK content level 2.417% and yield 17.0 kg/tree was recorded with N4 level (Nitrogen @ 750g/tree) and phosphorus and potassium did not show any significant effect.
