Economic Empowerment of Women through SHGs

Micro finance activities with Self Help Groups (SHGs) strategy gained momentum in the rural as well as semi urban areas. They mobilised women in the grass ischolar_main to involve in financial and entrepreneurial activities. This is hoped to empower women in general and more economically. Measuring empowerment is a methodological task. An attempt is made in this paper to measure the economic empowerment of women members of SHGs.
