Employment in the Manufacturing Industry-An Analysis of Growth Rate and Trend (1960-70)

Generation of employment is an important and inseparable aspect of planning. Since the inception of the first five year plan this aspect has been attracting more careful and systematic attention of the planners. But then, in spite of all the measures taken there is a large backlog of unemployment in the country and this is in addition to the new entrants in the uuemployed labour stock every year.
