Anaesthetic Management of a Patient with Choriocarcinoma with Severe Anaemia and Uncontrolled Hyperthyrodism for Emergency Total Abdominal Hysterectomy
Hyperthyroidism is a rare complication of gestational trophoblastic disease, when it is present, it can be severe and potentially life-threatening like thyroid storm that need to be controlled the emergently.This case report highlights the peri-operative management and optimization of hyperthyroid state prior to surgical management.
