Anaesthetic Implications for the Patient with Xeroderma Pigmentosa
Xeroderma Pigmentosa (XP) is an autosomal recessive genetic disorder of connective tissue characterized by photosensitivity, pigmentary changes, premature skin aging, and malignant tumour development. Manifestations are due to a cellular hypersensitivity to ultraviolet (UV) radiation resulting from a defect in DNA repair.
