Emergency Airway Management of Penetrating Injury of Neck
Penetrating injury to the neck is a life-threatening emergency because of potential injury to vital structures of the neck and thorax. Successful management depends on prompt recognition of injury, proper surgical intervention. Mortality rate ranges between 3% and 6% mainly due to vascular injury.
