Anaesthetic Management of Patient with Ludwig's Angina Scheduled for Emergency Drainage: A Case Report
Ludwig’s angina and deep neck infections are potentially lethal entities known to cause oedema, distortion or obstruction to airway. Advanced infections require airway to be secured and surgical drainage complicated by pain, airway oedema, trismus and tongue displacement leading to compromised airway.
