Hydatidosis is parasitic infection caused by the encysted larvae of Echinococus granulosus. All organs will be affected; liver (55%-70%), lungs (18%-35%). Spillage of hydatid fluid or scolicidal agents itself can cause serious anaphylactic reaction.
