Trans-Hiatal Oesophagectomy-An Anaesthetic Challenge

One of the leading causes of oesophageal perforation is iatrogenic, other situations such as infection,malignancy may also be associated. Symptoms may be nonspecific and delay in accurate diagnosis carries a high mortality and morbidity.The treatment is trans hiatal oesophagectomy. Perioperative anaesthetic management is a major challenge.
