With the increasing understanding of pain physiology and NMDA receptor, use of Magnesium for secondary analgesia and as adjuvant to different regimens is introducing newer possibilities in acute and chronic pain1. This popularity of Magnesium Sulphate also finds its use in attenuating postoperative pain2. In our study, we assessed the patient’s postoperative pain scores following pre-medication with Magnesium Sulphate.
