A Comparative Study of Intrathecal Dexmedetomidine and Fentanyl as Adjuvant to Bupivacaine to Provide Prolonged Postoperative Analgesia
Dexmedetomidine added to local anesthetic has found to be effective in achieving prolonged postoperative analgesia. Fentanyl may be devoid of undesirable side effects related to dexmedetomidine. In this study, we aim to find whether the quality of anaesthesia is better with fentanyl and bupivacaine or dexmedetomidine and bupivacaine.
