A Comparison of Clonidine and Dexmeditomidine as Adjuvants to Bupivacaine in Wound Infiltration for Postoperative Analgesia after Abdominal Hysterectomy: A Prospective Randomized Study
Wound infiltration with local anaesthetics is a simple, effective and inexpensive means of providing good analgesia for a variety of surgical procedures without any major side-effects. The aim of this study is to compare the analgesic efficacy of clonidine and dexmedetomidine in wound infiltration with bupivacaine for postoperative analgesic requirement and side-effects in patients undergoing total abdominal hysterectomy.
