Ultrasound Guided Transverse Abdominis Plane Block with Ropivacaine and Levobupivacaine Postoperative Analgesia in Patients undergoing Total Abdominal Hysterectomies-A Prospective Randomised Double Blinded Control Study
Ultrasound guided transverse abdominis plane (TAP) block is an effective method of providing postoperative analgesia in patients undergoing abdominal surgeries1,2. We compared the postoperative analgesic efficacy of 0.5% levobupivacaine and 0.5% ropivacaine and the requirement of first dose of rescue analgesic medication after total abdominal hysterectomy (TAH) performed through a Pfannensteil incision.
