The Effect of Regional/Topical Anaesthetic Techniques on Emergence Hypertension Following Intracranial Surgery, a Randomized Prospective Study
Emergence hypertension is well-known phenomenon after intracranial surgery. Many theories have been put forward for emergence hypertension like airway irritation due to endo tracheal tube/ suctioning, surgical wound pain, hypothermia/ shivering, hypoxia/ hypercarbia, bladder distension etc. Our aim was to study effects of regional anaesthetic techniques on emergence hypertension following intracranial surgery.
