A Randomised Prospective Comparative Study of Post-Operative Pain Relief for Abdominal Surgeries with Intravenous Fentanyl Infusion and Epidural Ropivacaine - Fentanyl Infusion
Postoperative pain management is one of the most important components of adequate post-surgical patients care and if done effectively improves patient’s outcome. Epidural analgesia is often the method of choice. It may not be always possible due to technical difficulty and patient factors. Hence present study is undertaken to compare continuous intravenous fentanyl infusion with epidural analgesia for postoperative pain relief in abdominal surgeries.
