Propofol and ketamine when used alone as sedative, increases the cardiovascular complications in high risk patients. The opposing hemodynamic and respiratory effects of each drug may enhance the utility of this drug combination, increasing both safety, efficacy and allowing reduction in the dose of propofol required to achieve sedation. The aim of the study is to determine the appropriate proportion of ketamine and propofol in minor procedures for level of sedation, hemodynamic changes, time of recovery and amount of the drug used.
