Prospective Comparative Study of Haemodynamic Changes during Insertion of Laryngeal Mask Airway Versus Endotracheal Tube in Paediatric Patients
Laryngeal Mask airway (LMA) is considered as alternative to tracheal intubation for securing airway and providing oxygenation and ventilation. Laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation trigger pressor response like tachycardia and hypertension that are well recognised. This study aims to determine and compare the pressor responses associated with insertion of LMA with endotracheal tube during elective surgical procedures under general anaesthesia in paediatric patients.
