Ropivacaine is an amide local anaesthetic agent. The aims of study are to assess the anaesthetic efficacy of 0.75% ropivacaine as a peribulbar block in cataract surgery and to compare the anaesthetic efficacy of 0.75% ropivacaine vs 0.5% bupivacaine.
