Ketamine: Resurgence in Neuropathic Pain Management
After nearly half a century on the market,ketamine still occupies a unique corner in the medical armamentarium of anesthesiologists or clinicians treating pain.
Sub-anaesthetic doses of ketamine have been used effectively as either a primary analgesic or analgesic adjuvant in a variety of pain syndromes.The purpose of this article is to review the current useful applications of ketamine in a rather unique case.The wonder drug Ketamine was used in infusion form to produce analgesia along with sciatic nerve block for a complete patient satisfaction after failed conservative management.
