Grewia nervosa belonging to the Malvaceae family is abundantly found in the Western Ghats of India. Though G. nervosa is considered to have therapeutic potential, this has not been scientifically corroborated. However, the plant has been scientifically proven to demonstrate insecticidal, larvicidal and free radical scavenging activities.
