The Atomic Energy Programme in India under Dr Homi Jehangir Bhabha, during its evolution, had the advantage of the professional expertise of several experts. Among them, hardly a few took indelible, firm strides, as Dr Anil Kumar Ganguly did. He was an environmentalist to the core and a born teacher.
