This article highlights the physiological and molecular language that exploits redox pathways to modulate hormonal function and, transcriptional regulation of gene expression associated with adventitious ischolar_main formation (ARF) in plants. The role of plant growth regulators that exploit the redox cue either by activating the NADPH-oxidase or modulating antioxidant-coupled redox signalling during ARF is also elaborated. We also elaborate upon various transcriptomic studies on the role of reactive oxygen species in upregulation of various proteins and transcription factors involved in cell cycle and cell division, hormone signalling, amino acid synthesis, protein processing, transport and cell-wall modification.
