Influence of sheltered and open air condition on the temperature response in one-dimensional concrete in natural environment is studied and response models under these two conditions are derived on the basis of Fourier's heat transfer law and the third boundary condition. It is observed the influence in question is big, mainly in terms of the amplitude, extreme value and its time of appearance, which is chiefly the result of different ways of heat transfer between concrete and environment. The concrete thermal diffusion coefficient and surface heat transfer coefficient obtained from theoretical derivation show good agreement with measured data.
