Considering the problems as crushing capacity and leakage seriously in the process of re-mining the residual coal in the Gobs of BaiJiao coal mine, a three-dimensional physical model and mathematical model of Goaf in fully mechanized caving face, flow field of the Gob was simulated using FLUENT software, and obtained the distribution of concentration field and flow field in a complex coal mining face, combined with the experimental results of period and critical parameters of spontaneous combustion, three zones of spontaneous combustion were divided and determined the spontaneous combustion dangerous zone. As for the burst problems with excessive CO content in the process of re-mining the residual coal, a new technology-based on colloidal fire prevention was developed to put out the high temperature zones, results showed that such measures successfully prevent the spontaneous combustion of coal mining face, guarantee the safety production the mining face.
