During ore mining and process of mineral separation, a large number of solid wastes will be produced. Processing the tailings waste into building aggregate is the most effective way to absorb mineral waste, with high ecological benefits and engineering value. By analyzing the nature of raw materials and the different factors of the preparation, this paper find out the concrete performance difference which prepared by the tailings waste sand and high-quality gravel, through the adjustment of mix proportion and admixture, The sand and gravel concrete of tailings waste which can be used in the actual project is prepared. The experiment results show that the concrete can be prepared by using the washed sand and reducing the maximum particle size of the tailings, by mixing part of the natural fine sand into the iron tailings and using a certain amount of concrete modifier, tailings waste sand and gravel concrete is prepared which can meet the actual project application.
