Through analysis of research status, the paper interpreted the connotations of both the share ratio of buses (SRB, the same below) and land use, as well as summarized the characteristic factors of land use such as plot ratio, the degree of mixed land use and land-use area. The Xiaozhai intersection in Xi’an was taken as an example to analyze characteristic factors of land use in the surrounding areas, for which a field survey was conducted on the SRB in land sections of different properties. After collecting the survey data, the paper undertook correlation analysis on the SRB and land use with the help of Spss17.0, and concluded that: a land section has higher SRB if its degree of mixed land use is higher; the higher the plot ratio (within a certain range) of a land section is, the lower the corresponding SRB is; for a land section whose gross floor area is no more than 10,000 m2, the land use and the SRB are moderately correlated with each other; the factor of land-use area exerts the weakest impact on the SRB; the distance of a land section from the nearest bus terminal affects its SRB to a certain extent. These research achievements can provide reference for public transit planning as well as optimization design of bus stations and bus routes.
