In this paper, we are presenting the elaborated and extended version of our previous work on automation of hydro electric power plant using wireless SCADA. In our previous work, we developed a wirelessly controlled model of a hydro electric power plant which can transmit generated power and measured water level of the reservoir to a central control station. Now, we are employing a new method to estimate the pressure exerted on the walls of the reservoir and also performing the range test of the wireless SCADA.

Abstract

In this paper, we are presenting the elaborated and extended version of our previous work on automation of hydro electric power plant using wireless SCADA. In our previous work, we developed a wirelessly controlled model of a hydro electric power plant which can transmit generated power and measured water level of the reservoir to a central control station. Now, we are employing a new method to estimate the pressure exerted on the walls of the reservoir and also performing the range test of the wireless SCADA.
