Micro Kernel-A Key to Implement Parallel Operating Systems
Subscribe/Renew Journal
This document explains three kernels which are being used for implementing operating systems: the monolithic kernel, the micro kernel and the exo kernel. Starting with an introduction about the term "kernel" itself and its meaning for operating systems as a whole, it continues with a comparison of benefits and disadvantages of all the architectures, and then leads to description of parallel operating systems and micro kernel features which made it suitable for using in implementation of parallel operating systems. While discussing about parallel operating system this document explains about various features, scope and importance of parallel operating system. Along with the importance of parallel operating system this explains micro kernel features and parallel operating system applications simultaneously to justify the title.
