The purpose of this survey is to find more efficient solution after comparing different wireless transmission technologies used in monitoring agriculture field and to improve crop production. The newly emerging technology i.e.; wireless senses network spread rapidly into many fields like medical, agriculture, biotechnology etc. By taking help of WSN, one can transmit the real time data quickly with no time. The WSN system is used in precision agriculture application where real time data are sensed from sensor and control decisions are taken based on it to modify them .Farmers heavily depend on the prediction values factors such as weather, water, soil etc. In this paper we provide a comparative study on technologies used in monitoring agriculture field for improving the crop yield productivity.
