Design of a Hybrid Solar/Gas Turbine power system was carried out for Beta Glass Delta Plant, a company that uses solely gas turbine to power their production floor. This project is to reduce overall running cost to power the production floor taking into account the high cost of fueling the gas turbine, its repair and maintenance. To achieve this, the load profile for the production floor was gotten, the gas usage by the gas turbine and the cost was gotten, the equivalent sunlight hour for the region was gotten and the Solar Panels together with the inverters needed to carry the load was calculated and designed. It was discovered that  the watt hour from each generating unit of the Hybrid system reduced by half as compared to using solely gas turbine as power source to the production floor. These data where entered in RETScreen software for simulation. The hybrid system design shows that fifty percent (50%) of our energy is been saved daily as against using solely gas turbine. Green House Gas (GHG) was found reduced and the financial analysis shows that the cash inflow increases exponentially. This proves to be more cost effective as substantial amount would be saved on monthly bases from gas usage and this will also increase the working life of the gas turbine as its rate of usage has been reduced by twelve (12) hours daily.
