Turbo Charging on the Performance of Diesel Engine with Biodiesel-A Technical Review

The present work presents a technical review on the impacts of turbo-charging on the performance and emissions of the Internal Combustion Engine fueled with bio-diesel. On the one hand, bio-fuels are getting impetus today as alternative renewable substitutes for conventional fuels to be used in internally fired engines, especially in the transport sector. The other issue in the field of automotive technology is the performance and emission of the engine, in order to increase the performance of the Internal Combustion engine Turbocharger is used. Turbocharger application in the IC engine is one of the best available technologies to improve the performance as well as to decrease the emissions of the engine. In this paper we have reviewed a total of 44 papers in the field of turbocharged IC engine powered with bio-diesel and their results are presented here to give a clear overview about the performance of the turbocharged internal combustion engine fueled with bio-diesel.
