Optimization of Missile Trajectory Using Genetic Algorithm

In this paper, a method for the calculation of optimal, or nearly optimal, solutions to trajectory problems is presented. This method, which is applicable to a large category of problems, is based on a genetic algorithm which is an optimum seeking method that attempts to apply the rules of biological evolution, mutation, and selection to technical optimization problems. The modification is achieved by repeatedly applying global optimization genetic algorithm method while setting the number of design variables. The results show the successful application of the genetic algorithm to trajectory problems.
