Performance Optimization of Multichannel, High Speed DWDM OADM Ring

In this paper the designing of multichannel, high speed DWDM OADM optical ring network for six nodes,16 wavelengths having channel spacing 0.4 nm on unidirectional non linear single mode fiber of 10 Gbps has been reported. The performance optimization of the system by comparing different modulation formats i.e. NRZ, RZ, CRZ and DPSK is also reported on the basis of eye diagram, BER and Q²dB.It is reported that CRZ modulation format can achieve BER of e-27 and Q factor in the range of 20.3 which is gives best performance as comparison with rest of the modulation formats.
