Impact of Usability Requirements and Evaluation in Effective Software Requirements Gathering
Subscribe/Renew Journal
One of the main criticisms leveled at information systems design and software engineering is that they focus too much on the system and not enough on the users. To address these limitations, requirements gathering must also explicitly focus on the usability of the application. Usability is the extent to which a product can be used by specified users to achieve specified goals with effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction in a specified context of use. This paper proposes different views of usability and usability-oriented requirements engineering process to verify and elicit the requirements for specification.
