Student-Teacher Perceptions on the Teaching–Learning Process in Management Education A Comparative Analysis

The popularity of the MBA degree and Post Graduate Diploma in Management, PGDM has lead to an increasing demand never before for Business Schools in India. The Government of India and the private sector are actively participating in meeting out the demand by increasing the number of management institutes in the country. At the same time there is a greater concern by the academicians and employers about the quality of students graduating from B-Schools. An attempt was made to study the current teaching-learning process focusing about the perceptions among student-teacher community. An analysis was done to compare the opinion of the students and teachers of management institutions in Coimbatore. This study provides an insight to re-engineer the current method of teaching that could help the student-teacher community for better management system.
