Inventory management is considered the high management's responsibility and the main concern for managers in all types of businesses, especially in the manufacturing industry, and controlling of inventory is a key issue experienced by many sectors of the economy. This paper will review and examine best practices and technologies that can be used by firms to control inventory through implementing different physical inventory methodologies for cost saving and better customer services. However, in current business, the availability of information systems can allow business to make a great improvement for effective and efficient control of inventory and physical counting. The paper reviews the literature and previous studies to discuss the best effects for performing an inventory cycle and physical counting, and review the new technologies that are proposed to enhance the process. The paper also discussed potential areas for research.

In Just six months, COVID-19 has turned the world upside down, everything in the life has been impacted and changed. The outbreak pandemic has affected our lives in different ways, as it wreaks havoc on our businesses, jobs, entertainment, education, etc., which has forced the world to face this new challenge through finding out alternatives to cope with the impact of the coronavirus to keep the life continues. One of the key sectors which has been affected by the pandemic is the education sector, as all educational bodies have announced closure to protect students and teachers from the pandemic. Bahrain, as other countries, has affected by the pandemic, which pushed the country to face the new situation in the beginning stages of the pandemic in Feb 2020 by taking several precautionary measures to contain the spread of coronavirus, which included closing down schools, universities, and other private education institutions. However, the Ministry of Education (MOE) has decided to continue the study through online learning at all levels, along with pull learnings through broadcasting recorded lessons to students on the national television channel (Bahrain TV). The purpose of this research thus is to investigate the effectiveness of online learning during the lockdown and how it was managed by MOE, taking into consideration the way students-teachers and students-schools interacted during lockdown. The research used two dependent variables to measure the aforementioned interaction through perceived learning and perceived satisfaction in order to reap the benefits of learning during the lockdown. The study used the quantitative method through a survey analysis with a total of 130 students based on a questionnaire. A simple regression technique was carried out to analyze the outcomes. On the other hand, the qualitative research was conducted using secondary data to understand how MOE Assess the value of e-learning along with students’ opinions during lockdown. Based on the results from both methods, the papers can identify any gaps in order to better understanding of the effects of such new learning method in secondary education in Bahrain, which is the research objective. It concludes by discussing the findings and recommending steps to make the project more improved in the future.Keywords

One of the big issue in procurement is fraud, and many companies go through deep investigation before offering a job for the right candidate as the job is very sensitive as large budgets allocated to procure goods and services for business. Procurement fraud, thus, is likely to occur in the procurement department since they deal with money, through dealing with vendors for material, goods, services, transportation, logistics, distribution of products, warehousing, or other benefits in exchange for awarding the contract, and frauds are then possible based on quid pro quo, whereby an advantage is given in exchange for awarding the contract. To this end, using the traditional methods to control such frauds are not easy and could be faded away very soon, especially with existing and emerging digital technologies such as Blockchain. The paper reviewed how Blockchain is able to eradicate procurement frauds through focusing on the usability and functionality of the technology in procurement. The study uses the experiment research method to measure procurement frauds as the independent variable and the power of Blockchain to control such frauds as the dependent variables, using the nonexperimental research method. The study tries to highlight the challenges and possible directions of Blockchain research in protecting procurement from any types of frauds that could be happening, which are impossible through the traditional methods. Finally, this paper points out the future directions in the Blockchain technology in procurement.
