Wireless video sensor network is a special form of wireless sensor networks. The main function of wireless video sensor includes processing, gathering, broadcasting and tracking. The challenges and issues in the wireless video sensor network are that high energy consumption, low network life time and packet loss during the transmission of data. This paper describes the novel approach to minimize the energy consumption, avoiding the packet loss during the transmission of bits and thereby increasing the lifetime of the network using an energy efficient routing protocol enriched LEAR along with error control scheme hybrid ARQ.
