Charging of Battery Operated Devices without Connecting Wires

As time's progressing we are getting highly accustomed to mobiles, laptops, ipod's, and iphones. In fact, charging all these appliances has become so very cumbersome. Now each appliance has its own set of chargers, and with every family member owning their cell phones, the drawers are overflowing with all sorts of wires. When we are on the way to work and our cell phone beeps in hunger for a battery charge, haven't we wished for our cell phone battery to get self charged. Well, this dream is to be fulfilled by wireless electricity Transmission of power without using wires. It is basically based on piezo-electric effect.the study of piezo materials enables us to think of its various application one among them is wireless power transmission. The piezo materials generate vibrations upon change in its dimensions through stress by applying voltage etc. and the converse of it is also true (vibrations as input, voltage as output) by utilizing this property the power to various charging devices can be transferred efficiently. The device can be charged within a range of 8m without connecting statically into power socket. This paper mainly emphases on charging of various battery operated devices using peizo electric effect without using wires.
