Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) is often vulnerable to security threats due to its features of open medium, dynamic changing topology, cooperative algorithms, lack of centralized monitoring and management point, and often lack of a clear line of defense. As a result, many attacks have been found even at the routing level, which can disrupt the functioning of a MANET. Several routing protocols are designed to ensure routing security. But even today, security remains as a major issue in MANETs. In this paper, a new scheme with a feedback mechanism is suggested to improve the security of existing multi-path routing protocols. This scheme is found to improve the security against sinkhole attacks and wormhole attacks, which are the major threats to MANET routing security.
