Quality of Service Analysis for Cluster Based Routing Protocol in MANET

Routing is the most important component of communication protocols in MANETs. Packets are routed from source node to destination node. Because of frequent topology changes and routing overhead, selection of routing protocol in Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is a great challenge. There are various routing protocols available for MANET. This paper involves the study of Cluster based Routing Protocol for MANET. Clusters are the group of nodes that comprises of a Cluster Head. The Cluster Head coordinates the Cluster. The Cluster Based Routing Protocol (CBRP) is highly scalable and robust. It is highly efficient compared to Proactive and Reactive Routing Protocols. The performance metrics are analyzed with the help of NS2 Simulator.
