A social media network is only an electronic links amongst its users which turned out to be a habit for students, youngsters, and even the grown person. The influence of social media on students is alarming and doing more harm than good. The aim of the paper is to analyze the vices of social media on the academic success of students of Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola. The survey method of research was adopted to achieve the objectives of the study. Some research questions were presented to the respondents where the results revealed that so many (96 percent of them) usually spent much time on the social networking sites than to their academics.
