Methods to Substitute Expensive Disposable Materials by Cheaper Alternatives in Poor Resource Settings

Resource poor countries have difficulty in providing hygienic environment for physical examinations and treatment of poor, rural and tribal populations. Whilst in a private setting in Mumbai patients are able to afford disposable materials; these are not available in general hospitals in the out-patient department (OPD). Hence we are reporting of two innovative methods which we have used in the OPD in a general hospital near a slum area in Mumbai.
