When Firuza was studying in school (1961- 1972) in the Alexandra Girls English Institution, her science teacher Ms Talpade, one day took her aside and told her that she had the potential to become a doctor. At home, her father would encourage her to read books on science. He would tell her, "Firuza, the greatest gift God could give anyone is the ability to heal others."
