There are various screening tests and controversies exist as to which is the best method for diagnosis. According to this article the single step screening-cum-diagnostic test recommended by Diabetes in Pregnancy Study Group in India (DIPSI) appears to be the most feasible, economical and evidence based, particularly for high risk Indian population.
