Fracture Dislocation of Second to Fifth Carpometacarpal Joint of Hand: A Rare Injury Pattern which is often Missed in Review of Literature

Carpometacarpal fracture dislocation of the hand are a relatively uncommon pattern of injury. Its correct diagnosis becomes difficult due to the swelling of the hand leading to misdiagnosis. There is not much information either on this rare injury adding to the ignorance. The diagnosis requires vigilant examination, high index of suspicion and high quality imaging. This case report brings out these issues.
