The Menace of Osteoporosis

It won't be an exaggeration to say that osteoporosis is almost universal in Indian elderly women and is also a serious threat to quality of life in all senior citizens regardless of sex. Increasing longevity has resulted in an increasing number of senior citizens globally; life expectancy at present is 67 years in India and is expected to increase to 71 years by 2025 and to 77 years by 2050.
