Are the Principles of Medical Ethics Incompatible with Indian Politics?

A few weeks ago, a group of young physicians approached me with the request that I should expound on the major concerns I have about the future of the medical profession in light of my five decades of experience in India and ten other countries around the globe. The interactive session was very instructive for me as it left me with a sense of reassurance that at least a section of the young professionals has trepidations about the direction our profession is taking.
