Intestinal Obstruction Due to Fasciolopsis Buski

Fasciolopsiasis is a disease caused by a parasite Fasciolopsis buski. The disease is endemic in the far east and southeast Asia. In India it has been reported from Assam, Bihar,West Bengal,Uttar PradeshS Maharastra. We are reporting a case of fasciolopslasls in a 28 year old male migrant, from west Bengal with heavy infestation by Fasciolopsis buski causing intestinal obstruction. Patient was operated immediately and treatment was given.
