Scrub typhus and dengue fever both are systemic febrile illnesses with similar clinical manifestations and thrombocytopenia. These two diseases are endemic throughout the Indian subcontinent and South East Asia but co-infection is rarely reported in literature. We present a case of co-infection of scrub typhus and dengue fever presenting with severe thrombocytopenia.
