S.R.Ranganathan on Srinivasa Ramanujan:Draft of a Biography for the Collected Papers

In an earlier installment it was mentioned that in 1923 Dr.S.R.Ranganathan (SRR) was entrusted by the University of Madras to write a biography of Srnivasa Ramanujan (SR) to be included in the Collected Papers

In December 1923 SRR had completed the draft of Ramanujan's biography for the volume o^ Collected Papers of SR being compiled by Seshu Ayyar. On 4 January 1924 SRR took charge of the Madras University Library. A couple of months later SRR was asked by Seshu Ayyar to discuss the draft with Dr.MacPhail the Vice-Chancellorofthe University..
